Acceleum A/S acquires majority stake in AI company Genair8 (Denmark)
Acceleum A/S has acquired a 51% majority stake in Genair8 ApS, following months of joint corporate efforts on strategy and rollout operations. Acceleum AS has also secured an option to acquire the remaining 49% in exchange for shares in Acceleum at the end of 2026, pending financial results and contract volumes.
Genair8 is a Danish technology firm specializing in AI-driven solutions for municipalities and welfare service providers. The company develops advanced AI tools that help municipalities identify and implement targeted, preventive social initiatives – particularly for vulnerable children and youth.
The acquisition marks a strategic step in expanding Acceleum AS’s portfolio of purpose-driven, scalable technologies. “We see a strong strategic alignment between Acceleum’s platform and Genair8’s expertise in AI. Together, we can accelerate the development of responsible, high-impact solutions that truly make a difference in people’s lives. On the back of that, we can create robust datasets that we can adapt to markets lacking the population data needed to utilize AI – enabling them to benefit from AI-driven solutions nonetheless. This fits our business model of acquiring related technologies and accelerating them using our existing platforms and user groups,” says Henrik Bæekgaard Onarheim, CEO of Acceleum A/S.
For Genair8, the acquisition provides access to essential capital to complete and roll out its first installation – and opens the door to new market opportunities. “We have overlapping personnel and board members, and we know each other extremely well. We share the same drive and values. Becoming part of Acceleum and gaining access to their medical system customers opens up a range of new markets and possibilities,” says Martin, CEO of Genair8.
Generative artificial intelligence, unlike earlier AI models, can create new content by extrapolating from its training data. Its extraordinary ability to produce human-like writing, images, audio, and video has captured the world’s imagination since the first generative AI chatbot was released to the public in the fall of 2022. GenAI now powers a wide range of consumer and professional applications that help save time, money, and effort.
